September 17 & 24 | Tie-Dye Exploration
* Two week course: $24/$32
Students will learn how primary colors mix to create secondary colors through the process of tie-dye! Each student will receive a T-shirt in their size (please indicate at the time of registration) to experiment with color theory. Students will also experiment with various tie-dye design methods with rubberbands to create a wall tapestry on a Tea towel. Although gloves and paint shirts are available, wear something you don’t mind getting tie-dye on- including shoes! Indicate t-shirt size at registration.
October 8, 15, 22 | Clay Beads & Pendants
Roll, shape, stamp, and decorate! In this fun clay class, young artists will create their own colorful beads and unique pendants. Students will explore simple hand-building techniques as they roll clay into different shapes, add patterns with texture tools, and personalize their creations with stamps and carved designs. Pieces will be left to dry, bisque fired, and finished with a clear glaze firing. Pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks after the class.
November 5, 12, 19 | Photo Transfer Collage
In this creative mixed-media class, young artists will explore the exciting process of transferring printed images onto paper and combining them with paint, collage materials, and drawing. Students will layer colorful papers, textures, and simple patterns to create one-of-a-kind artworks inspired by favorite animals, nature while learning photo transfer techniques. Students are welcome to bring family/friend photos printed with an inkjet printer- photos must be a copy as they will not be usable afterward.

December 3, 10, 17 | Hand-built Clay Ornaments
Celebrate the season by creating handmade clay ornaments that can be treasured for years to come. Young artists will learn simple hand-building techniques as they use various lace, textured stamps, seasonal shapes, and carving to create designs. Pieces will be left to dry, bisque fired, and finished with a clear glaze firing. Pieces will be ready for pickup the week prior to holiday break.
