The Players - Former members of Chicago

The Players - Former members of Chicago

The band features Keith Howland and Jeff Coffey, two former key members of the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame band “Chicago”.

Keith served as lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist with Chicago for 27 years and was the longest tenured guitarist in the band’s history. Next up we have Jeff Coffey, bassist and tenor vocalist extraordinaire, who replaced Jason Scheff in 2016. Effortlessly singing all those great Peter Cetera hits that everyone knows and loves, made him a perfect fit to carry on the legacy of one of the greatest voices in rock history.

Keith and Jeff, who had become fast friends during their time together with Chicago, decided to form a new band called “The Players” which brings a blend of classic Chicago hits, some grooving Earth Wind and Fire tunes (they toured with extensively), as well as a hit or two by The Doobie Brothers, Peter Frampton, Toto and a few other iconic artists from that era of great music.

They are surrounded by an all-star band featuring Rob Arthur (Peter Frampton, Don Felder and many others) on keys/vocals, a true professional, who has playing with many top named artist for many years.  On drum duties is the Ed Toth (current touring drummer for The Doobie Brothers).  Rounding out the lineup with a smokin’ 3 piece horn section, The Players deliver on every level.
