Nancyjane Huehl: Shared Experience

The works of one of South Dakota’s noted artists, Nancyjane Huehl, eloquently captures color and light familiar to the plains landscape and other subjects while creating a fleeting sense of time with each brushstroke. These works are centered around what the artist describes as “shared experience”, which has come to her organically:

“When I was in my late twenties and in central South Dakota much of my thoughts were about solitude’s peaceful to sublime nature. With time, change of topography, people and places, what we all have in common is shared experience.”
