Daniel Ruf: The Eloquence of Light

Daniel Ruf, the 2017 Best in Show Winner for the Wanda J. Skogerboe Exhibition, will take viewers on a delightful journey filled with color, atmosphere and composition found through the camera lens.

“For me photography is the unending search not only for subjects, but for mood and light as well. The majority of my work deals with the lighting extremes of sunrise and sunset as those tend to be glowing times of the normal day providing a large palette of color. And while my camera is the mechanism that captures the image, my intuitive nature and digital tools are what lead me to my final visual statement.”
