In addition to his business interest, Bernstein is a co-founder of Sioux City’s annual Saturday in the Park free concert, which draws crowds between 20,000-30,000 people.
The steel industry executive also is a past member of the Iowa Economic Development Authority board and helps promote the entrepreneurial spirit in his hometown of Sioux City through various methods including judging the annual “Swimming with the Sharks” business pitch off.
