Lakes area resident and artist, Avis Davis, moves more than a brush.

In her self-published book, Walking with Bear, Avis invites you into her own personal connection with nature and its moments. Her journals – aligned with the allegories of the twice-daily strolls with her dog, Bear - dive into her own thoughts and observations on those things we consider much larger than ourselves: the small things, the big things, the happy things, and the sad things, and finding the optimism of each.

In this exhibition, the art center will present a selection of enlarged copies of her book that includes her illustrations for each page. Walk into her words - and perhaps introduce yourself to a new way of looking at the world around you.
