Let’s Paint a Landscape! With Diane O’Hern
June 13 | 10 am-12 pm OR June 30 | 5:30- 7:30 pm
$35/$45 | Level: Beginner, 18 years+

Participants may choose a lake, pond, country road, park, or trail as their subject. We will practice flat head brush techniques at the start of the workshop. “Step by Step” directions will be provided to set up a sky, sunset, middle ground and foreground on the canvas. Participants will then personalize their work. A 11x14 canvas, paint, and brushes will be provided although you may bring brushes and acrylic paint of your preference, participants may also bring a reference photo, although not required.
Bio: I was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art/Education from Buena Vista University. I currently reside in Eagle Grove, Iowa. After decades of teaching K-8 Art, I continue to teach children and adult art classes. I am also a substitute elementary teacher in the Eagle Grove and Humboldt, Iowa School Districts. I am an experienced visual artist with 7 summers as a PLAC Art In The Park Artist. I currently have paintings on display in the Wikert Gallery at the Pearson Lakes Art Center.
