February 18 & 25 | Acrylic Winter Landscapes
With acrylic paint on colored paper, students will use stark whites, blacks, golds, and silvers to create a landscape full of painted line work while creating a winter landscape scene.
March 3 & 10 | Clay Portrait Sculptures
Create a human bust from the shoulders up out of clay in a minimalist style. Sculptures will be approximately 12" in height and students will apply unique glaze effects to their work.
March 17 & 24 | Modern Metalsmithing
Learn traditional metal tool techniques and learn to saw, pierce, file, hammer texture, and add patinas while creating your own metal cuff bracelet or pendant to wear or gift!
March 31 & April 7 | Textures in Architecture
Explore materials used to build with and ways to draw them! Students will use copic markers, watercolors, and colored pencils to draw 3-D buildings that look like brick, wood, stone, glass, and more!
April 14 & 21 | Batik Painting
Explore the process of resist painting on fabric in this two session course. Students will create a design, learn a variety of options for resist, and dye their fabrics to create a beautiful tapestry to display once completed.
