Choosing his subjects from Iowa's rolling cornfields, its white houses and churches, and the faces of its hard-working people, Grant Wood paintings have become American classics.  Grant Wood and his contemporaries Thomas Hart Benton and John Stuart Curry, occupy a pivotal place in the history of American Art.  Proclaimed the three fathers of a movement known as American Regionalism.  This exhibition of American Regionalist art from the collection of the Waterloo Center for the Arts includes drawings, oil paintings and prints by Grant Wood, Marvin Cone, Thomas Hart Benton and other significant Regionalist masters.
