With a Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts degree in Ceramics from Minnesota State University, Kelly Jean Ohl knows her materials inside and out. Biomorphic ceramic installation pieces that are reminiscent of the natural world help the viewer witness the miracles and idiosyncrasies of everday life. Simplicity in 'Abundance' is the overal theme in Kelly Jean's artwork. Many works in this show include hundreds of individual elements. Kelly Jean plunges into any arena where people are talking, sharing, or learning about art. She hopes that her artwork challenges the viewers to look for opportunities to reach the best that is within them and to be reawakened by the magic of life.
