This is one of the few exhibitions of Bolivian textiles that has traveled the U.S. in the past 15 yrs. It features hand woven ponchos, carry cloths, overskirts, bags, belts, blankets and knitted hats from Bolivia.
Each textile varies according to the skill and imagination of the weaver and many are easily recognizable by the guidelines set by the
individual communities. Five of Bolivia’s nine departments are
represented in the exhibition.
