Art of the Guitar May-Sept 2011 Thirteen guitars will be on display at the Pearson Lakes Art Center and 9 other locations throughout the Iowa Great Lakes Region from May until September 2011, customized by area artists to turn these instruments into works of art. Stop by and visit the Pearson Lakes Art Center to view this special exhibit along with the many other great things to see at the center. MAKE ONE YOUR OWN! These guitars are available for silent auction up until the exhibit closes in the Fall of 2011. What fun it would be to own a customized Fender guitar! Plein Air Painting Exhibition: Call for Artists Aug 15-17, 2011 Artists are invited to participate in the 2011 Exhibition, August 15 -17. Stay in the Okoboji area or visit your area of choice! Wet work will be delivered for the exhibition the morning of August 18th. The show is judged and awards are given: $300 Best of Show, $200 2nd Place Award, $100 3rd Place Award.
