The purpose of all education programming at the Pearson Lakes Art Center is to help develop a sense of appreciation for the arts and to encourage creativity and self-expression in each participant. We offer a variety of year-round classes and workshops to preschool age students through adults.
Art Education for children is one of the PLAC’s highest priorities! All classes and workshops are taught by highly qualified professionals. Visual Arts classes for children are offered after school and throughout the summer. The classes include lessons regarding a variety of subjects and mediums. Theatre classes and workshops are offered in the winter and the summer. Family Workshops are offered during the week of July 4th and before the winter holidays.
Education for adults is very important to the Pearson Lakes Art Center. Professional instructors are invited into the PLAC to teach a variety of visual arts disciplines. Most of the workshops are offered during the summer months, when the instructors and participants have time for longer, more intense workshops. Beginning workshops and other adult classes such as Luncheons with Instructions, Art History Brown Bag Series, and Book Club are offered throughout the year.
