Visions & Versions
Each artist sees the world differently through their individual vision and special talents.
Four artists were asked to create an original sculpture based on the same six 3-D geometric shapes. The artists were given complete freedom to produce whatever they desired. This exhibit includes four sculptures that show the artists' solutions. There can be as many different solutions as there are artists. This exhibit also includes filmed interviews of the artists. Ask them a question, such as “How was this piece made?”, and watch them answer from their studios.
Visions and Versions Hands-on Station
The artists in the Visions and Versions exhibit were asked to create sculptures using 3-D geometric shapes. They were also asked to make sure their sculptures fit inside a certain sized box. Now YOU have the chance to be a Visions and Versions artist. Create a sculpture using the geometric shaped blocks or magnetic construction set. Challenge yourself by trying to make your sculpture fit inside the clear 12” x 12” box provided for you on the table.
